Construction works are going on as the school's health center is being renovated by the Parents Teachers Association. The building has been raised to the roof level and is targeted to finish by March.
The first ever Fedcol football competition had its final displayed on the field of the college. The competition comprised all Unity schools in the federation competing first at zonal levels and then gathering in the school premises for the semi-finals and final. RESUMPTION: The Jss 1 students resumed in October and had long settled and as well integrated into the school system and life. A welcome party was organised in their honor to welcome them. It comprised several competitions such as Mathematics competition organised by one of the school teachers- Mr Otunubi with members of Prof. Jubril Aminu hostel emerging winners and other competitions such as eating competitions, dancing round the chair and most importantly a beauty pageant of who Miss Esther Matthew of JSS 1C emerged the bearer of the crown hence being nicknamed the new "miss Jss 1". he various religous societies also welcomed them in their special ways. The school has always been on top and is at the utmost this time leading all the unity schools among other public schools in the country in the last WASSCE. The school had hundred percent credit pass in both English and Mathematics and recorded A's in most of the subjects. The school was honored by the Minister with an award which was presented to the PFA at the annual meeting of Principals of Unity Colleges which held this year in Enugu. This is an encouragement and motivation for the oncoming sets of examination students to blaze the trail and make the school more proud by reflecting in their results....
